Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Wig Install.

Most Wig Installs take between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on braid pattern, wig preparation, and styling. Complex lace fronts or custom cuts can add time. We'll give an accurate estimate during booking and consult before starting the service.

Yes. We braid your hair as a foundation and use gentle tension techniques to protect strands and scalp. Protective methods minimize manipulation and risk. Share hair history and any sensitivities so we can adjust braiding, tightening, and product choices to preserve hair health.

You can wash gently after 48–72 hours to allow the install to set. Avoid heavy chlorinated or saltwater exposure initially and use sulfate-free cleansers. Rinse carefully, let wig dry fully, and retighten clips or visit us if you notice loosening.

We braid the hair foundation, position and sew the lace front onto the braids, and add wig clips for extra hold. We also trim lace, melt edges if requested, and can use adhesives or tape on special requests for a stronger seal.

Keep the scalp clean and moisturized, avoid heavy manipulation for 48 hours, and use a satin scarf or bonnet at night. Wash wig carefully with sulfate-free products, air-dry fully, and book maintenance every 4–8 weeks to check tension and preserve hairline integrity.

Absolutely. Our stylists can cut, blend, trim, and heat-style wigs during the install for a tailored look. Bring reference photos and discuss desired length, density, and parting during the consultation so we can deliver the precise finish you want.
