Most Instant Dread installations take between two to five hours depending on hair length, density, and desired loc size. Consultation beforehand helps determine exact timing, and our stylists work efficiently while ensuring proper hydration and secure loc formation.
No — when performed by experienced stylists, Instant Dread is designed to minimize tension and breakage. We hydrate and reinforce weak strands during installation, but severely compromised hair may need preparatory treatments or trims for safest results.
Wash locs gently every one to two weeks with a residue-free cleanser, moisturize with light oils, and palm-roll or retwist loose roots as needed. Avoid heavy products, and book regular maintenance appointments for long-term health and neatness.
